Soon after Bob adopted some helpful hands from Andrew, Jonny came along and began to partake in the family business. After Robert's retirement, Jonny and Andrew took over. Jonny takes pride in co-running the business with his brother and spends most time behind the scenes juggling growing and administrative tasks. He is now a father of his own two boys who find themselves playing in the greenhouses now and again.
Soon after Bob took over the greenhouse business, he found himself a couple more helpful hands in his oldest son. Andrew takes pride in co-running the business and spends most time managing the daily operations. Andrew lives nearby with his wife and two children who enjoy playing on the greenhouse equipment and helping their dad during busy times.
Helen began in the family business as her father Chris Dornbierer's right hand. After marrying Bob in 1977 she stayed deeply involved, balancing labor oversight and office work. “Bob from Blue Mountain” brought his greenhouse experience to the farm, and when Chris retired in 1987 they ran the houses together for the next 34 years.
Chris established his first greenhouse business in East Hanover, New Jersey in 1952, then relocated it to the base of the Blue Mountain in New Ringgold, Pennsylvania — the foundation the family still grows on.
